Balustrade Performance Testing

Static testing is applied on the balustrade sample according to NF P 01-013 and ASTM E 935 norms. This test aims to observe the changes on the balustrade sample under wind load and other external physical loads. In this test, three phases of loads are applied on the balustrade: horizontally outward, horizontally inward, and (vertically) downward; with the distributed load of 1 kN/m being applied as equivalent point loads using the pneumatic systems. Finally, the resulting deformation and strain of the balustrade sample is measured, and those values are compared to the static calculations and standards for validation. Also, dynamic method is applied with a sand bag as impact test.
