Impact Resistance Testing

Impact tests can be performed on different combinations of glass, curtain wall and window/door samples according to EN 12600, EN 14019 and EN 13049 separately. A mass of 50 kg consisting of two rubber wheels around a steel bore is used for these tests. The applied energy is the potential energy which is gained by the impactor when it drops. Energy is defined as Joule (J).Also, these tests can be performed with a sack full of glass marbles weighing 50 kg bag which is designed in compliance with NF P 08-301 French norm.
